When You Lose The Treasure, It is Gone!

There was once a young man born to a rich family who took everyone around him for granted. He always felt that there would be enough time for him to convey his appreciation for them. But one day, he was knocked down by a van and paralyzed from neck to toe.

He had also lost his sense of speech. His family and loved ones stood by him, rallying him to get well soon. He was so touched and grateful but just as he started to convey his thanks, no words came from his mouth. He would never ever be able to talk again. Now the words 'I love you' became so important to him but they were words which he had wished he had articulated much earlier.

Are we like the young man who took his loved ones for granted? We may never get another chance to show our gratitude.

So what is the moral of the story? Treasure your loved ones and don't always say there will be time to do that- you never know when your time will run out so start to spread that love NOW!

Change Is A Constant

The last few months have been hectic to say the least. I've changed a job, moved house and now gotten sucked into this financial crisis.

Hope this straighten themselves out over the next few weeks. Pray for me.

The Daily Grind

No, I've not been swallowed up by a whale or flattened by the Hulk. I've just been so busy, working overtime on many occasions these few weeks.

Not much time to blog recently. Just going through the motions everyday.

Catch up with all of you another time!

What The Hack?

Been so busy with work that I've had no time to blog. Anyway, I came across this interesting blog called Hackhowto.

They're running a contest to give away a huge pack of tools. To enter, you just need to do a blog post about the contest. I've never tried these programs but I'm curious about the subject so here's my entry to their contest.

The contest will end in a couple of weeks.

Fighting Fatigue

Not sure why but I'm feeling rather tired at work these days.

Perhaps it is the increase in my workload after a colleague went on long leave or maybe I'm just getting sick of my job.

Exercising is one of the best ways I have found to fight fatigue and I try to take the stairs at my office. It really makes a difference given that I'm staring at a computer screen for most of the day!

Crappy Blogs Have The Best Designs

Yeh, I think the most crappy blogs are not the ones with simple designs - I think it is shallow to just look at the blog designs since most of us aren't artists or designers anyway.

The really crap ones are those with the most beautiful and stylish designs but with content which is just misleading - with empty promises of riches beyond.

These money-grabbers hide behind beautiful designs and secret coding and drain the riches from others.

Don't be shallow - you don't need a fantastic blog design to be a goody and likewise, you can have a design masterpiece and be a crapper!

How Long, Dear?

How long do you spend bloggin' each day?

My friend, Janet, is a home mom and spends the time she is not looking after the kids online, mostly blogging and running her own eBay store.

I tend to just surf without a purpose. I've seen many great blogs out there but some that are crap too, especially those so-called make money blogs.

I've been reading through many websites and this new phenomenon called Entrecard has come up quite frequently.

Hence, the old gal is gonna give it a try - just an experiment to see if it is as good as some say it is.

Let's get going!

Blogging Start

Refreshing! Blogging has always been a bane for me. Though I've been online for some time, I've always been the perennial blog visitor and commentor.

But I've decided to start up my own blog to try some things out myself.
